Founded in 2015, Hyliion develops a smart electric hybrid architecture for Class 8 vehicles, which can be installed on newer trucks, retrofit versions of current truck models, and converts traditional 6x2 trucks into 6x4 hybrids. truck. The Hyliion 6X4HE is equipped with the company's machine learning algorithms and patented battery technology to optimize its fuel-efficient performance while improving vehicle emission reductions and providing users with a better driving experience.
After investing in Hyliion, Dana aims to provide users with a complete hybrid system and utilize Hyliion's intelligent electric hybrid control, battery patented technology, and integrated functions. At the same time, Dana will provide the following product solutions: Spicer Electrified bridge, TM4 motor, inverter and power electronics, long-term thermal management solutions, auxiliary system motors and traditional Spicer axles and drive shafts.
In addition, under the new agreement, Dana will provide on-site service professionals to work with the Hyliion team to serve the North American team.
